Storage - The key element in successful bathroom design
Designing a bathroom is a virtual art form – especially if you have a more compact space, such as the standard size of about 2.5 metres square!
The fun part is the finishes – choosing tiles and taps, vanities and baths. But key considerations – that can transform a utilitarian bathing space into a spa-like retreat where you can relax, unwind and cleanse – are the more complex elements such as storage and lighting.
Creating a clutter-free area, where toiletries, towels, make up and pharmaceuticals are kept off the benchtops but within easy reach, is something of a skill but thanks to Englefield and its solutions-based approach to bathroom design there is a smart fix that cleverly makes use of ‘dead-space’.
The patented Corner Contour Plus wall, suitable for all Englefield shower enclosures, provides a moulded wall that supports four or five corner shelves, three with discreet integrated hanging hooks for items such as body brushes, flannels and loofahs.
Each of the shelves can be positioned to suit individual needs; the extra height of the unit ensures generous space between shelves, so even taller bottles and items are accommodated.
The shelves have an easy-drain mechanism – so no clogging – while each can be removed and placed in the dishwasher for thorough cleaning. There’s also a flannel bar shelf and a lower comfort shelf, with moulded footrest, allows easy, comfortable leg shaving and cleansing.
The upper shelf also provides a spot for parents to keep items out of reach of younger children.
